This is the brief for my project
Pre-production reflection
I'm very excited to do this project since I myself enjoy watching crime documentaries, so creating one would be a very fun thing to do! I want to know how the directors and filmmakers behind these documentaries implement technical and creative skills to create such suspenseful films and what they did to engage their audience. I am looking forward to creating my own crime documentary.
Post-production reflection
Throughout the project, me and my teammates had some difficult times where we argued over some parts, such as task distribution as there was an uneven distribution as some teammates did tasks that they weren't assigned to and some didn't do the work they were assigned. However, we eventually communicated about it and came to a solution which mutually benefited all of us, we ended up sharing some of the tasks and distributing them equally again so that we could avoid conflicts. Despite this, some teammates kept postponing doing their tasks up to hours before the deadline so the entire team had to wait for them to finish their work, then go to sleep. It was 6am already. Additionally, this whole project made me realize the efforts put behind crime documentaries, that every single detail in the scenes were done on purpose in order to cater to audiences. I have also realized how important communication and understanding is, especially in groupworks. Next time, I'd say that we would have to communicate our ideas thoroughly first before just doing everything based on how each of us separately think about it. Overall, asides from the arguments and conflicts, I had a great time working on this project.
