This is the filming schedule I (Rachelle) made.

Reflection
Before project:
How will a schedule help you?
A schedule will help us keep everything organized so that we know when and where to film, the props we need to bring, etc. This helps prevent any miscommunication from happening.
Is it realistic?
I decided to separate each scene into different days since it would take a lot of time, considering the amount of retakes it would consume. I also decided to put most of the filming dates on saturday since that’s the time where most of us would be available. So, I would say the filming schedule I made is realistic.
What problems might you face?
Some problems we might face are bad weather and sudden changes in availability. For example, when we are shooting an outdoor scene and it rains suddenly, we may have to postpone that scene. This may alter the filming schedule. The props might also break along the way, which means that we may have to look for a replacement for it, this may take more time and again, postpone the filming date. In addition, there may be times where sudden changes in availability will happen, such as a cast being sick during the date of filming and many other problems.
After project:
Problems, solutions, and what to do next time
Halfway through the filming, one of our casts (Thompson) had sudden plans so he couldn’t attend most of our filming sessions, so we decided to switch him out with another classmate of ours (Devasya). We decided to do this so that we don’t have to wait out too long for Thompson to be free, as this would definitely take up so much of our time for filming and also since the deadline was quite near at that time (2 weeks left). Another problem we encountered was the lack of focus we had. The first time we did the shooting at Jocelyn’s house, we got side tracked and started chatting around and playing instead, and when we finished, the sun was already setting. We were only able to film one scene in which we had to reshoot anyway due to Thompson’s replacing. We realized that we wasted too much time playing around and decided to only give ourselves 15 minute breaks between each scene filmed the next filming date. This was a success and we managed to film 3 scenes in a single day. Next time, I think we should make a list of backups for the cast, as finding a replacement for Thompson took a few days. This is to save up time so in those few days taken to search for a replacement, if we had done that beforehand, we could’ve used those days for filming. I also think that we should add in some days in the filming schedule for re-shoots just in case we need to redo some scenes. After this, we fixed the schedule and it was way more organized and detailed compared to the previous one.
